My phone died while I was on here earlier, then I had to bathe a three-year old who wants hair like Rapunzel but won't wash or brush it without a major MMA-style fight. So, the kid is in bed and I casually look to see if there's any replies to pm 's here yet. Imagine my surprise when not only are there no replies, but this silly site now censors the word "god" (and it's a, not an). Surely that's what you typed, right? A god? Because he is, a poor, misunderstood god who just wanted to be appreciated. Whoa...where'd that come from? :idunno Move along, nothing to see here, definitely no fangirling...nope :oops:

Sooo...how about those eggs, huh?

Yes! Awesome idea -give me three, maybe four days notice and you can have a dozen plus extra. A few more days will give you more. I'm good with any color, just as long as they are not people -attack cats.
 
Ugg, the arrival of the five chickens yesterday was a disaster!! Guy shows up, dogs show up, chickens in the woods :hit I didn't know they were free range. Omg kids crying. Ugg I spent most the morning in tears looking for them. My dog caught two and brought them to me unharmed, good dog!!! At dusk another came back but is to high up in the tree to get. I'm exhausted and today rain and getting colder soon. I'm thankful for the two we got back. Poor girl promptly laid an egg. They are in the coop, I will let them in the run today. I will be ready today for the dogs, I will be armed. Same dogs attack the horse next door last yr. so they will find out quick how this old woman will handle them LOL pound has been out to many times and told me if they try it again I can protect my animals so yeah.

I will post pictures of my parrots in a few. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that helped me before the chickens got here, I was a nervous new momma. I can get a little, well alot, over board when it comes to my birds. My kids are grown and gone and my birds are all my babies now. :D

This is LOLA, the little hahns I got during the ice storm. Poor little girl, she is still on antibiotics. She has a nasty crop infection but she is coming along nicely. I'm not sure yet if the mutilation she has done can be reversed yet.

This is Sweetie, what a hand full she was!!!I had her for over two yrs getting some very nasty habits fixed. She now lives in her forever home in Dallas.
