I have been looking at plans for my coop, and have a question. What is the theory behind a raised coop versus a built on the ground coop? The one we always had on our farm as a kid was not raised. Is one better than the other, or just preference?
I personally like mine raised for space purpose. That way you get your coop space, plus the run also contains the space underneath the coop, which also provides shade if your run has no roof.I have been looking at plans for my coop, and have a question. hahahhahaa! Too funny! I did something like that once. Went to a city in FL and driving down the road I see this huge sign that has the proper incubator temperature/humidity (99.50 - 65) for locking down hatching eggs posted! So I commented to my DH, why would they post those incubator numbers on the huge sign? He gave me this sad strange look and said, "Becky, those are the prices of the rooms for that motel!"It's official. GAM has lost what's left of her mind. Her sanity if you will. Bird brain has fully taken over. GAMjr and I are watching Frozen. GAM walks into the room as a scene is playing where the princess is singing to a goose and her youngens. GAM does a double take at the screen and asks me if it's a Toulouse. Really!? IT'S A CARTOON FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!![]()
