YO GEORGIANS! :)

My 2 cents: I would wait another week. Up here, it's supposed to dip down into the 20's in a few days. Personally I think they'll be ready at 6 weeks. I plan to start putting mine in the coop when they are 6 weeks, so long as it's no lower than 40's at night.
Well 37 is close to 40. I think I'm gonna go for it today. I will put the heat lamp in there with a shallow box and some bedding just in case. They are all pretty feathered and the poop smell is horrible in my garage.

On another note (getting my mind off Scissors)...

Pretty sure I've got 3 boys & 3 girls in my Light Brahma batch. They are 4 weeks old today, and 3 of them have a redder, wider comb than the others. That means I have 3 layers & 3 stewing chickens

Hopefully I have better odds with the SLW. It would be awesome if I have just 1 boy in that set. I'd love to breed SLW in the future.

Out of the 14 SLW chicks I bought, 6 were boys. I gave carcar 1 of them and 4 girls. That leaves me with 5 boys and 4 girls. I think I can spare a boy or 2 for you if you want them.

alright anyone got automatic chicken coop doors? I have been looking online and they are very expensive. Anyone got a DYI solution on the cheap?

My solution is ... I don't close my coop.

Ok, sorry. I know that wasn't very helpful.
I was thinking about that also. The run is pretty secure 2x4 welded wire sunk about 6 inches and barbed at the bottom. Can't make up my mind, but $200 price tag helps make the decision easy.
