YO GEORGIANS! :)

Mornin' peeps! Coffee time!
Thanks @mrsdszoo for coming to (attempt) to help with the coop! The weather wouldn't cooperate so we didn't get as much done as planned. Stupid cold wind.
@ChickDancer I'm coming to get General and LP's babies! Too stinkin' cute!
I should have 3 orders of eggs show up today. CPG, Silkies, and Black AMs. Woo hoo!!!!

Took me forever to type that couple of short paragraphs -had to keep answering goofy questions from thre little zookeeper who is still awake far too late. Important queries like "where are the dog's feelings?...I don't want to hurt them by accident." I don't know where this kid gets her energy from...

Kids ask dome pretty amazing questions sometimes. I often wonder that I had energy like that as I kid. I sure could use energy like that now! :th

Coffee time indeed

Morning. :caf

Getting ready to go groom a dog today. Then I get to do chicken stuff :). About to go try to wake up the baby night owl...wish me luck!

@farmerChef, Do you have processing videos on YouTube? I've seen some with a similar account name, but keep forgetting to ask.

My cats were born right before I got chickens. They've been raised around them, and know not to mess with them. The other days, one of my cats was feeling frisky and went to sniff at my youngest roo. Well he gave her a good little kick, and she ran away like fire was chasing her. LMBO!! Oh, I was in tears after laughing so hard!

It's been a bit of a struggle with the new babies though. I keep them away from the cats, but every now and then I take one out and hold it to their noses so they can smell it. So far, so good. :fl

A chick got loose outside the other day, and BooBoo starting going for it, but a quick and hard-toned "No BooBoo" from me made him stop in his tracks. They are learning. I'm proud of my cats. They are so good-natured and sweet. :love
.

Yeah, I have LF Cochins and I don't think the cats would bother them but I would worry about the silkies. Getting a kitten makes sense until, like you said, I have chicks. Maybe when it warms up more I'll try the kitten...can't keep one in the house 'cause my son's allergic.

Yep.  Cackle.  The invoice shows they ship in the morning at 0500.  I'll have little mousers soon.

I found a lady on FB that has them too. I may try a few of her eggs in my next hatch. Although, I have already have two other breeds I want. I think I need a bigger incubator...

They can live perfectly well elsewhere on the 15 acres, without contaminating my rabbit and chick feeders with fecal matter and urine :sick .

My thoughts exactly.

Shoot. Dog's owner cancelled the appt. That would have paid for chicken food for the week. I don't blame her though; she pulled a muscle in her back getting out of bed, ouch. I get top have another coffee and do some housework before the road trip.

I'd be rich if I could bottle that somehow. Until I spent it all on critter feed and new buildings on the farm :). The little zookeeper is begging for peacocks now.
