There are a few that advertise on CL but I haven't checked them out yet. I'll start checking what/where I can. That's my point, do you know how much it would cost? I thought I had read someone else asking before but cant remember if anyone was interested. I wouldn't even know were to start,,,,
I made my coop out of pallets and an old landing for our back porch. I love to recycle with free stuff!!!
Quote: CL,,, I will start to look as well. I did ask the butcher at the grocery store about getting pork belly so I could make my own bacon, but he told me I would have to buy the whole 200lb order, because they would get the whole pork belly from a pig and no one has asked before, with $100 dp. and $100 to pick up, would be ok because that would make the bacon $2.00 lb after spices and processing, but what to do with 200lbs of bacon, ya know
Thanks.
Yes I agree, I really like making old things into new. Wow, 1889 that was a day or two ago. Something that has survived that long deserves a second chance and what a great way to reuse it!
I LOVE using bamboo for roost poles. Plus it helps get it off my land! LOLDeffinatly! We just added the nesting box on the back, bamboo roosting pole inside and the run was even constructed from recylcled t-posts and chicken wire from a friend that used to have chickens. Then the bamboo for the frame for the chicken wire roof.
