YO GEORGIANS! :)

And thank you for feeding my coop fever! LOL That is stunning! Is that all your own design and work?
Coop fever in full swing. I needed a new coop for my Polish only, I am kind of handy with basic woodworking tools (some light plumbing and electrical also) way back when I was an art major, put all of that together and this is what you get. There is an antique Owl hook nailed to the adjoining tree to hold the egg basket and I have 3 glass solar powered glass mushrooms from Lowes to finish off the surrounding garden when I plant it. I researched he design I had in mind and drew up several rough drafts including the details like the interior dividers etc. There are 3 separate double nest boxes for plenty of egg laying. It's a hobby and a labor of my imagination, I try not to think about the total cost (needless to say they all know me at Lowes- in every department they ask how my build is going and what am I up to now). I do recycle my stack of materials when possible in to the build to save where I can.

Morning peeps. Taking the dufus boy to court today (speeding ticket); yay for teen boys. I'm guessing I won't be able to bring my phone in, so I'll have one off those old-fashioned book things instead of this thread to occupy my time. Maybe I'll bring paper to plan out my next coop, and make it pretty, since there is so much wonderful inspiration here :). Or maybe I'll leave that to those who do it better than I can...OohLaLa ;).

Ok, y'all, I got a problem with one of my new chicks. It's walking funny, with one leg stretched way out to the side. Nothing wrong with the toes, but it's like that one leg isn't developing straight. Any ideas on what I can do??? They were born early Sunday. Is is too late to do anything???

It's was great meeting you and I hope y'all had fun! I just finished candling and looks like all my hopes for a cuckoo are on that one egg at your house. The others were all duds. Out of the 14 eggs she originally sent, only two are developing. On a better note though...24 of my sizzle eggs look great! Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll have some curly chicken soon.

Was this the cuckoo silkies you had mentioned before?

Physical therapy. Seriously, as weird as it sounds, lol.

Take it out and for about an hour or so, hold him with his leg tucked under him PROPERLY. Stretch the leg out, and then bend it back under him properly. Stretch it out in front of him once, behind him once, and then fold it back up. During the hour, do the stretching occasionally. And then see how he walks on it after that.

Mornin' y'all! What's exciting today?
You already know, lol
Piece of plywood and maybe some 2x4s for nest boxes and roosts. Three bundles of hay for nest boxes and the old chicken pen so we can put the dogs in there. Chick feed, layer feed, scratch grain, grit. And another new screen room/tent to put a new breed in. And my favorite part - a visit with you!

By the way, how many turkey eggs have you got saved up so far? :p
