Edit: Ok, it wasn't me. It got added later. lol. I hate making typos as much as I hate the inefficiency of the tracking service. Oh and about an hour later after stopping for fuel and feed and then driving home, I got the text that the chicks had been delivered to the local post office. 20 minutes after that I got a text they were available for pick up. Gee.. thanks.

My own? No. I drive the actual delivery vehicle that goes from house-to-house. When I order chicks, they come from the sort facility on a bigger truck, and I get them from the post office. I do know the guys who drive those bigger trucks though, and already told them I'm holding them accountable if something happens to my chicks! LOL!

And no one on my route sells chicks or hatching eggs. Several of them do own chickens (and I've gotten business from those people by letting them know I breed them), but no one actually sells them.

April 7th will be different for me anyway. My normal driver will be out that week on vacation (I'm a substitute), so I'll be working on the day I'm expecting chicks to arrive. I could pick them up and have them ride around with me all day, but obviously, that's not something I want to do! So my sister will be riding up to the post office with me that morning when I report for work. I'll get them directly from the big truck driver, scan them as "delivered" myself, and hand the chicks off to her, and she'll bring them home and toss the babies in the brooder.


ETA:
However, I do ship out hatching eggs quite often, and I'm always scanning them as "accepted" with my own scanner. I don't service my own house on my route, but if I'm shipping something out, I will take it with me and scan it as accepted when I go in to work.
