GAM is communicating with him now.... Looks like I MIGHT be getting them. I wonder what the GLW and the SLW mixing will look like.
I'm not sure about what I am about to ask you, but maybe one day, I can come over and you can show me how to process a chicken. I don't know if I could ever do it, but right now I am giving away all my boys and I don't doubt some of them get eaten. It does seem crazy not to eat them myself......but, they are like pets and I name them! Ugh! I can't decide if I want to learn how or not! It's going to be a beautiful day!![]()
Starting tomorrow, the brahmas will be in the tractor permanently, or at least until they are big enough for the coop. Hopefully the SLWs will join them in the tractor in the next week or 2.
I've got my killing cone now, so I'll be retiring my youngest roo for the freezer soon. Once I know how many of my 30 chicks are girls, I'll be culling some of my current layers too, to make room for the newbies.
All the boy chicks will stay together until they are big enough for freezer camp.
My friend lives in Dawsonville and has BO hatching eggs. PM me for infoI am northwest ga and in dire need of hatching eggs either red sex linked or buff Orpington. My incubator malfunctioned and lost 24 eggs due to hatch in 1 week
Funny... it doesn't LOOK stupid.
It looks like... a giant chick.
