YO GEORGIANS! :)

I know right. Now to figure out a name.......
I named mine Miracle, Hope, and Wonder. They all had detached air cells, AND I accidentally did the cooling process one day - for 7 hours. Plus all of the ones from Candace didn't turn out. So it's a "miracle" or "wonder" these three made it, but they had "hope" I guess.

Okay, I asked on the emergencies forum about Phoenix. It sounds like he'll do just fine. It's going to take a LONG time to heal, but the skin should re-grow across his entire skull again.

I just took him outside so I had REALLY bright light, and cleaned him up a VERY little bit, and looked at him some more. He opens one eye now and then, so I adjusted the bandaging so he could actually see when he opened it. Then I found out the reason he doesn't open the other one is because his eyelid got pierced during the fight! There's a wound that goes completely through it! He's also got wounds all over his comb, face, and waddles. One of his waddles has a huge chunk of skin hanging off, and turning black (dying). I tried to fold it back up as best as I could before reapplying his bandaging. If it continues to die and fall off, no big deal. That will most likely heal quickly and easily, because the only thing exposed is the backside of the skin from the other side of that waddle.

The other actual waddle is completely okay.

I also used a wet wash cloth and tried to clean some of the blood out of his hackle feathers. That's pretty much pointless right now, but it did help a little bit.

The good news is, I have the next five days off, so I've got plenty of time to stay here, watch him, force-feed him and force water on him as needed, and change the wound dressing. I figure by Saturday he should be doing okay enough to eat and drink on his own, so I can leave him during the day.

By the way, THANK GOD FOR CHICKEN DIAPERS!
