YO GEORGIANS! :)

Okay guys. I have some horrid news, some awesome news and tentatively some super awesome news.

So the horrid news first: We recently found out we can not have fowl on our property. This lot is zoned C-1 Hwy Commercial. And you have to have a minimum 3acres for livestock or fowl.

AWESOME news: @debgal is allowing us to house the feathered critters on her property until we find another solution. She's awesome for letting us do this

The tentatively awesome news: We currently rent from my grandfather and he has said IF I can find some awesomely cheap property, he will purchase it so we can buy it back from him.
But this is why I've been pretty MIA lately. :/

Well the moving thing sucks but how awesome is it that your grandfather can help. I hope everything goes well and you find a great new place. AND...just thing of all the chickens and rabbits that will fit on 3+ acres! :D

I use that one with the classes.
. Love this! I can't wait to show it to my granddaughter. She is completely fascinated with all things chicken right now.

Ha! She didn't need a teacher for that one...I have chicks now, some EEs and some sizzles. She told me yesterday we should get a pink egg laying chicken and then let the pink and blue egg layers have babies with the sizzles and then we would have more colored eggs and all the chickens would have curly hair. She thought that was the best idea in the world. She's only 3 and if she keeps having ideas like that I'm gonna get in trouble. :/

Just wanted to share...

Did this happen tonight? That is adorable them talking and "helping"!

Yes, about 30 mins ago.
What kind of bator is that

Its just a syrofoam still air. I borrowed it and its pretty old. Not even sure of the brand. but it works great. the viewing windows are actually 2 liter bottles flattened and taped on because he couldn't find the ones that went to it.

We have done about half a dozen other hatches before this one, all with borrowed old syrofoam still air bators and we did great with them all except the hatch we did during a storm. The last hatch with that old bator was actually 100% hatch rate. Oh how I wish I had one of those and not the singing incubator from hell!

Are yours hatching soon or set before the the hatch-a-long?

Congrats on your sweet littles!
