YO GEORGIANS! :)

Okay, looking at weather.com again and ALL warnings have been removed for my area. The stronger storms are going to go RIGHT around me this time - either north or south. And it looks like most of the storms are dissipating to the point of no longer being a threat much of anywhere! It does still show some heavy rainfall expected for some parts of the state, but no actual severe storms.

So breathe a sigh of relief, we all made it through after all!

Ok, maybe GAM shared, maybe she di'en. However comma I have not seen her post about it so I will. ALL of her freakin Marans hens are broody. All 5 of them. And it does not seem to me (maybe GAM collected them without me knowing it) that ANY of them are sitting on their own eggs. They are just sitting there. Broody and grumpy. And the funny part..... the OTHER hens are going into the nest box, which is barely big enough for one hen, and laying THEIR eggs next to the Marans who are then sitting on them. Except the others apparently don't like one of the Marans hens because she's just sitting there on nothing. I threw her out into the yard to see what she would do. She got a drink of water and went right back to the nest. Except she picked a different nest box. So now we have all these chickens and are going to have to buy eggs to eat for a little while. Stupid birds!!

Epiphany.

You know, I got my digital therm/hygro last hatch, but because my mercury thermometer was the one I could "zero out", I chose to trust it instead of the digital. (Control freak).

So this whole time the digital has read 97-99*, while the thermometer that came with the bator said 102 on top of the eggs.

But now I'm thinking, I always hear nothing but complaints from y'all about your bator thermometers..

I'm also thinking, baking eggs at 97* for three weeks could likely cause lots of deaths. And I wonder if it's even cool to leave the EE egg in there just because there's still movement? If it even hatches, will it have major issues?

Age doesn't bother me, I just don't get what you guys say. Lol. I will stay if you want me to. Maybe I will learn something. Lol
Or be scarred for life.

Speak for yourself, granny.
Actual age, goober. We all know that you're mentally WAY under 18.
