Talk to me about egg eaters! I thought one of our young polish was eating her eggs and maybe others so we put a webcam in the coop on the nesting box. Of course this requires us to be watching the cam. My husband caught one of our black sexlinked pullets lay a hen and then crush and eat the whole thing. No sign of it when I checked the box. It didn't though eat the Maran egg that was in the box since that morning. We left the Maran egg in there to see if anyone else would eat it. Still there..... not sure what this means.

Did you get video of the sexlink pullet laying a hen? That would be awesome. Just think if you have a chicken that gives live birth.....no more waiting on eggs to hatch. No more stress for carcar.

So far today the only one to lay an egg was one of the 2 black sexlinks. She hasn't eaten it yet and no one else has thus far bothered it. I am leaving it there with the other one as bait!
