Is your avatar a picture of a Dominique?

No, a Barred Rock. She has a single comb, Dominiques have pea combs. I think their barring is a little different, but never saw a Dominique in person.

She's Dottie, the #1 girl and a sweetheart!

Speaking of sweethearts, we have a young pullet that is under our feet when we're in the big pen and is perfectly fine with being picked up. No clue what kind she is but she's cute. Hopefully she'll continue to be social as she gets older.

Oh, I have a Dominique named Domino. Duh, I'm a such a dumdum. I didn't even notice the comb until you said. Yeah our Dominique is a sweety too.
I think I will try to get a Barred Rock in the future too.

Did y'all know ducks quack at 4:30 in the morning? Pitch black out here and she is quacking up a storm somewhere out there on the lake. And it's loud. All echoy and stuff. I thought ducks slept all night.

@GAMarans Here is the picture of the rooster I was talking about looked sort of like the one you posted to flower. Does anyone know what he might be? He had long tail feathers but a dog pulled them out last week.

Not sure what he is either. Gosh, I'm so helpful. lol
