Haha, yeah I don't think roosters are in high demand...ever. I may take you up on your offer though especially since I know you have goat's and I've been contemplating that commitment

There are little to no chicken owners near me in the Atl.

yes I'm on there, but being closer to the city no one wants a rooster or can't have one, I have it offered on the message board, nothing so far.Have you seen the ITP Backyard Poultry group on MeetUp? There's a meet/coop tour on tomorrow in Clarkston.
And never try to correct a longterm chicken person who believes it…I tried when I got 6 pullets…and he was so irritable that I didn't trust 20+ years of experience that I would never see any eggs without a rooster in the flock.Perhaps you could find some of the folks that still think they HAVE to have a roo for the girls to lay? No offense intended but I have given (it's Fall and so long as my numbers go lower I'm okay with not selling;-)) away a few cockerels and roosters to old timers that thought they wouldn't be getting eggs because their roo died or disappeared. You know, the type of an age to be your grandparent so having farmed/ raised chickens many years you just can't bring yourself to correct? Lol. And an old feed sac is still the main mode of single chicken transport![]()
