YO GEORGIANS! :)

I am going to buy the saddles for my hens and let the rir go. He follows me around and I'm attached but he is very aggressive and my gentle EE hen is lacerated. Thank you for your quick reply and input I really needed that advice. I love my EE roo too, he is beautiful and not generally aggressive, but I can see why he is now with the other roo in there with him. I knew I needed to cross this bridge sooner or later, was hoping it would be an obvious decision.

besides all that, your EE roo will add more color to your future chicks and their eggs!

Then you ain't catching anything other than opossums.
Must have been opossums in raccoon costumes. lol

And nothing has ever gotten through the traps to the critters trapped inside ... not even the time a chicken got trapped. lol

I'm certainly not saying that there aren't better products out there but obviously more folks than just me are having good experiences with them.

Awe, just got a new photo of the Boxer I found on the side of the road and rescued. The lady that eventually took him in sent me this new photo and said "Tank wanted to say how thankful he was at this holiday that you rescued him" Awe, made me cry!

Here he was as I found him on the side of the road. I just had to stop and bring him home.

Here he is today with his new family (Tank is the one on the right). The other dog on the left was also a rescue dog. Thank heaven there are wonderful people like this lady to take them in. I already had 3 dogs (and new to chickens), so she said she would take him. He looks so great! My heart sings!

That made my Thanksgiving complete!

hahahah, my poor lone roo (only about 5 months old) isn't doing very well with 27 hens all to himself! He is young and mostly gets tromped on by the hens! My DH said he saw him try to mount a hen and two other hens ran over and literally kicked him off their friend and chase him up into the woods! tee hee hee!

Also, last night this roo started crowing at about 1 am. Thinking something must be bothering the chickens, my DH went out and looked around. Not finding anything he stood nearby while the roo kept crowing. Finally, getting impatient that the roo wasn't going to hush, my DH picked up a hickory nut and threw it on top of the tin roof. It made a loud "ping". The rooster didn't say another thing all night! My DH now thinks I have a pansy of a roo! hahahah.

ha, poor guy. You have the opposite problem I did. Im down to 1 EE roo now. I took my Rir to a feed store where they place roosters and several ppl were interested in him when I walked through the door. I'm sure he will find a home soon, I miss a bit though.
