YO GEORGIANS! :)

So far just see hatching eggs for Beilefelders in AZ. Looking for a closer source so that I can drive & pick up eggs, or chicks. Don't have any experience yet hatching eggs, so don't want to waste so much time and money on something that will probably only have 50% hatch rate.

Got my cute little runner duck today! So sweet. I will get photos tomorrow during daylight! The guy who had her was so excited to have her move here. He noticed how much I love my chickens/ducks. And he lives close enough to swing by and visit. The duck was so lonely that she always followed him everywhere. He will miss her a lot. His other ducks were Mallards and he said they all flew away! hahhaha! They warn you that those cute little ducks at the feedstores may fly away one day. So, now we will see how she gets along with all the other ducks and chickens!

My friend had me hatch Golden Cuckoo Marans for her last year because she wanted to breed them. Ordered eggs from California! They are auto sexing chickens....boys one color, girls another. Anyway, she would call me every other day and ask again which were the females and which were the males. Well, one day she couldn't reach me and she ended up selling all the hens but one and keeping all the roos. Yes, she got confused and reversed the coloring! Ugh! So now she has about 6 GCM roos and 1 GCM hen. She is desperate to sell some of the males. Does anyone want to buy a Golden Cuckoo Marans roo? Let me know. Her health isn't that good or she would take them to auction. I told her I would take them if her husband went to help. But, she would rather not have to go out. Anybody interested?

Looking at all the posts, I missed all the fun yesterday! Job got in the way of the fun

(Just figured out how to do the fun emoticons!)

The partridge cochin is so beautiful! Oh boy, I don't have the first chicken here yet and I am already thinking of more than my planned 3...
Gotta love it when chicken math starts before you even get your first chicken.

Talking to my customers today i hope y'all are coming ready because there are A LOT of eager people to buy/sell/trade chickens and i know of quite a few goats, sheep and great Pyrenees coming also.
If I glue a couple of feathers to Robo, can I bring him? He'll be kept in a cage the entire time. Maybe folks on that side of the state won't have been warned about him and I could get a bird or two in trade.
