The only chicken that I have ever named was eaten by my dogs within 24 hours of naming her.

The only chick i was super excited about getting my dog killed 2 hours after getting it home. Little grey bird in the middle.

Must be it. My customer said a very nice lady called her from a craigslist ad to make sure she knew Cliff was having a chicken swap at TSC in McDonough.

Yes, that would be me.....I saw that she was from McDonough and could resist sharing the fun! She said she lived right down the road from the TS. And, the other Becky is indeed, Buddy's wife.

Mine was a gorgeous french blue copper marans ... laid eggs as big as a duck, always had double yolks, cool personality.

they will be teaching them to cry at all hours of the night untill someone gets up and holds them, and how to climb on every car in the yard just like every other turkey chick we have had for more than a day.

My chicks might have some of the most clever names yet. White Show Girl, Turken Silkie Cross, Brahma, Turken Rooster, Frizzle, Show Girl Rooster, Little Gold Rooster, Tiny Mille Fleur Chicken, Black Turken, and last but not least Silkie.

Cliff, that is just pitiful! They deserve real names! LOL!

Today's Zombie update: I think we are officially done with hand-watering. Several times this evening I saw her purposefully walk to the waterer and drink.

Also saw her playing with the food again and the pasty butt tonight was way more "I'm eating solid food" looking, lol. Never been happy to see pasty butt but it's reassuring me on this one. Oh and she's walking better and has perfected stopping before crashing.

In other news, here are a couple of my EE mix that are growing up. They are all so different, I love it!

This pullet appears to have some of the lacing from the BLRW influence

These two are more plain but I'm just excited they're girls lol



LOVE this boy, aside from the boy part. If anyone wants him I can slip him in GAM's suitcase Saturday. He's a rockstar!


And last but not least, the little pure BLRW. Flower you were right about him being a he.
