YO GEORGIANS! :)

We have some bantum cochins I use the to brood chicks all the time other than that they are just pets for my girls. It takes 3 of their eggs to equal 1 regular egg but they lay like crazy the hens will lay every day even throughout the winter.
They are the perfect size for pickled eggs too, I have never tried a pickled egg but I do like the looks of the small egg compared to the large egg and my DH says they are good.

oh and yes they do make wonderful broody moms, I gave my banny hen 3 LF eggs to hatch and she was so tentative but she just couldn't figure out why they were so much bigger than her.

I'd take you up on the offer Cliff but I'm states away from good ol Ga:) I have BOs and a good momma one too. These I ordered were supposed to be my start-agains since dh refused to buy feed last Fall when I had almost 100! (So I sold all but 6 BOs)Let's just say when I ain't happy he may not get what he wants when he wants how he wants;-) He now says he'd buy me another 50 chicks if it makes me happy. The AM chick isn't doing well at all and I expect it to be gone by morning. The RIR chick perked up and was eating/running this evening though. The swap sounds like it was pretty neat even with bad weather.

Curious to see what happens in the coop all day so i set my game camera in there. These two neither are laying eggs but yet they apparently spent the morning nesting together. One is a showgirl and the other is a smooth showgirl but otherwise they are identical.
