YO GEORGIANS! :)

My first time to a poultry show and didn't know what to expect. We were there by 9 am. Some rows were blocked for judging and one tent was totally blocked off. We came back at 4 and was able to go thru all exhibits. There were some very impressive exhibits in the big tent. They even had 4 / 5 turkeys that were beautiful. Oh, I even won something in the raffle! I'll go again for sure.

Aw man you got in the big tent! LOL.

I didn't understand why another big tent when there were open spaces in the one near the swap gate? Guess there's a reason I don't know since I don't show.

One tent was all the kids that where showing the other was for the adults. We had fun, my wife and oldest daughter are now convinced that they must have call ducks. so I will be driving 5hrs round trip to pick one up this week.from what I was told at the show the turnout was way down because of the weather. I did pick up a new bantum cochin at the show but was disappointed with the swap not very many there and the dept of agriculture was not out hitting everyone up for money.

The chipmunk and rusty colored ones in the front are an AM and a RIR. The weather was NOT forecast to be this way when I placed the order! And since I didn't want to order more to meet the minimum in order for them to send replacements they just gave a refund, no problems. TSC chick days are in my future for the WL and RIR that didn't make it. Yall be easy mentioning interesting breeds cuz dh said I'm not getting 500 chickens again;-)
Tell your DH never under estimate the power of a woman's hands

we can give life and take it away !!!! Bet they will be your best birds, and chickens are like potato chips you can't have just one and they make more.

ITA. I don't get it either.
at first I didn't get it either on bannies and I have a pair and looking to get another pair but I love my bannies and the eggs are perfect for a salad and I tell my DH look what happens when I hard boil the eggs they shrink. but they are yard ornaments and they act like spoiled children they will purposefully aggravate the LF roo just to get something started then the banny roo comes running and hides behind me, it is funny to see a LF roo put on the breaks and skid to a stop.

Gosh.. What do you, boil banny eggs for like 2.5 seconds? ;)

My DS thought he was so clever.. I was trying to clean up the BCM brooder and give fresh water and they were LOSING THEIR MINDS. I said, "you guys act like MORONS!!"

DS pipes up, "actually, they act like MUH-rons"

:gig (get it, it was the BCM?)

We have some bantum cochins I use the to brood chicks all the time other than that they are just pets for my girls. It takes 3 of their eggs to equal 1 regular egg but they lay like crazy the hens will lay every day even throughout the winter.
