Coop construction starting next week! I've got a lone polish top hat coming home with me after Thanksgiving, she's been pecked pretty badly in my parents flock so I'm taking her. I'm having a great time picking out her companions and planning the coop!
My chickens don't particularity like for me to touch touch them. At all. I have to chase them down to cuddle them. HOWEVER.. all bets are off when I wear my Eeyore pants. They are fascinated by them. Can't get them far enough away from me to take pics. It's strange. So many objects to pick off of them I guess!
Strolling by the Eeyore pants on a Saturday night.
Yeah- I'm gonna keep him. The female has "hard" feathers in her tail, instead of fluff. I might sell her. I dunno. They are in quarantine until Nov 12th, so I have time to decide. Her back seems a little long, too. But, I'm very knew to this, and don't know a lot. This is the female...
Pam She is pretty I'm sure someone will scoop her right up!
Her back doesn't look as long when she has her head back.
we had a great time at the festival and the Downtown Arts in the Park on the same weekend. Got lots of really unique items for ourselves and for gifts. weather was absolutely perfect. looks like this coming weekend will be the same. you can always try for next year, plus there are so many other festivals this time of year. the last weekend of Sept., Duluth, Ga does a fabulous fall festival.
have a safe and wonderful trip to Va and enjoy every minute! do you travel up I-85?
talk to you when you get back!

Paula I hate that I missed this! One of my friends posted lots of blurbs on facebook about it. She said it's an annual trek for her. We had a great time with our son in VA. The weather was great and we enjoyed a great football game together. We did travel up I-85 but we left at 8:00pm and got to VA at 4:00am, : ~/ We stayed as long as we could in VA before we had to leave to come home to relieve the eldercare sitter for my mom. I would have stayed a week if I could. It's all worth it to see our son!!!
$125??? Wow! Glad you found out so you can protect the rest of your flock. I currently have two chicks who are sneezing. I'm trying the VetRx and then a wonderful BYC friend is sending me some meds. I noticed the momma is sneezing a ton. I hope I get the meds in time. They have nothing at our Tractor Supply! Say a little chickie prayer that these guys will be okay. Have them in my house and giving them vaporizer treatments along with doctored up water with Braggs ACV, Poly-vi-sol, Selenium, Vit E, Electrolytes, and the VetRx.

AtlantaChick glad you've joined our Georgian group! How exciting to hear of your chicken adventure. Please post pictures while you build your coop so we can all join you in your fun. Can't wait to see what companion chicks you pick for your little "top hat"

Silkie stand-off! I have to pick between these two when they get older. I keep seeing wings that I think hand low, that might not be. I dunno. Also have one of those very dark black/blues that I will keep if he is show quality. But, I want to keep a "blue" blue. Pam
Died laughing at that top picture!!! Very funny and would of been a good one for the calendar. Again...your chickens are gorgeous Pam.![]()
