YO GEORGIANS! :)

Woohoo!! I'm FULL! Decided if I moved my thermometer from turner level, that frees up like four egg spots lol. I also put a little thinned-out piece of cotton ball behind each bantam egg.. I feel like the tiny eggs get jarred each time the turner gets to full-tilt so I padded them. May be unfounded though. I just don't wanna mess the little ones up!! :clap

So, yesterday when it was so nice, I took some photos of some of my babies.

This is Sunni. She is a frizzle Easter Egger. She is 7 weeks old.

This is Mindy, my little Show Girl. I got her at the swap last month. Was a little disappointed that she is not 'Silkied', but regular feathered. Oh well, she is still a cutie!

YOU got that showgirl?!?!?! I had to put it down and walk away when i saw it's coloring on the wing feathers. That bird is going to be gorgeous!

So i've been collecting eggs and putting them in the fridge. Well now i've got an egg holder for the counter top. Can i now place the eggs i've already collected in the new holder on the counter or do those now have to stay in the fridge until i use them?

Better safe than sorry... Don't want brain damaged chicks.
Nope. Bad enough I have to put up with you.. Hey where's GAM anyway? I need to see baby goats tomorrow and I can only assume she'll be there at some point to care for them.

IMO, you can take them out.

Once they have been refrigerated, they need to stay in the refrigerator. I also think that if you intend to keep them on the counter, don't wash them. That removes the protective 'bloom' and once that is washed off, they won't last long unrefrigerated.
