I think my Java Bantam has gone broody, I found her stash and now she has moved her nest and for the life of me I cannot find it, she shows up about once a day but I have not seen her today so I'm hoping she is sitting on a nest some where

and another question this is my first NN so are they supposed to be so red around the ears?

Only my males turned red behind the ears at an early age. I'm guessing you have a boy.

Happy way to end Easter..lol

I was installing a new dryer plug years ago and actually did that with a knife through the palm of my hand. Right at the base of the index finger, came out the back between the first two knuckles. My wife was preggo with our oldest, and I wouldn't let her see it, I just had her drive me to the hospital while I clamped it shut with the other hand.

you know that thing you've heard, if you stick an object in or through part of ya, leave it in till you get to the hospital? yeah right.......instinct will have you snatch it right out and throw it across the room. Ask me how I know....

but how in the world did you get a splinter that big through your finger?

also, if you look close enough you can see the tip sticking out the other side.....

It went all the way through to the point of sticking into the next finger. I was outside the pasture and tried to throw a 2x4 over to the burn pile about 40 or 50 feet away. So there was a lot of force enabling that piece to find home.

Ok, so this thing is an easter egger gene carrier? I still ain't sure how the colored egg thing works when it comes to the rooster end of the deal. So if I we put him with the little green legged hen is there a way of telling what colored eggs the babies would lay?
