YO GEORGIANS! :)

Well the hatch is officially done. Not overly pleased but will be happy with what I have. 13 eggs - 6 no good from the start- 4 failed to pip - 3 happy healthy active little Mottled Bantam chicks shipping up a storm.

Well I have now hatched out 3/6 FBCM and 1/6 Isbars. My first Isbar hatched this morning!!! They are so cute!!

Two the FBCM that hatched two days ago.
My most recent FBCM and Isbar this morning.

The other 8 have pipped internally but now its just a waiting game and hope they don't die. I candled them this morning to check for movement because today is day 23 for the FBCM and the day 22 for the Isbars.

how the two I have left are laying tiny eggs my bantum cochins eggs are bigger I am really tired of using 9 eggs for an omelet.

Wow, make me feel guilty! Well, No, not really! LOL! That happened to me last year. I bought 10 Wellsummers, sold all but one. Rocky Rhodes got 3. Well, all his hens lay the most beautiful dark terra cotta colored eggs. (Hard to see the true nice orangey look to them thru the incubator cover!)

And what does mine lay......

That's just wrong! LOL. At least it is speckled....that has a fun element to the egg, but a lot of people think something is wrong with it!

Y'all ease my mind.. These BCM are 10 weeks old. The first is a DEFINITE cockerel, of course. The other cockerel is even more obvious so I'll spare the pic.

The second and third pics ARE reliably pullets, right? They're huge! Bigger than the definite boys but I'm thinking BCM are just masculine-looking birds overall lol.

Just want to be sure before selling as pullets.

Newnan to Dallas isn't too bad. There are a few ways to go.. I like taking 27 myself.

ummm. I've lived in this area since 1969 and don't remember ever getting on 27 and going through Dallas or Newnan. Now when we pull the camper down to Chattahoochee Bend State Park, we take Alt 27 from Carrollton toward Newnan.........but that doesn't go through Dallas

If you go straight up from Moreland through White and then Douglasville to I-20, you could probably be at our place in just about an hour give or take a few minutes. You're more than welcome to come even though you're new and get off topic with your silly questions about chickens.

for the record, I went back to the snob forum. There were 2 posts from people who breed these that both said they've sold that breed straight run for $7-$8 straight run for years, because the market probably wouldn't support much higher.

I said thank you to both of them, no response yet from the 'other' yet, but I've been practicing my 'bless your heart' not sure if I should go with
