YO GEORGIANS! :)

[/quote]Yep. I tried a pipe cleaner above the joint as Robo suggested but (just picture it

) with the legs hobbled they immediately popped behind it! Instead of the legs being beside its head it looked like a trussed up turkey. I, uh, don't think the reversal would help

So I thought maybe leave the hobble above the joints and bring the line up enough to hobble below the joint thus bringing the legs back under the chick. Uh, no. Poor thing was still happy and active as can be like all of this wasn't a big deal! Finally took it all off. It will 'pop' both legs at the same time when scooting but only flips over when on shavings. Doesn't hold the rest of the body up like others, just sort of straight line horizontal. Like its legs don't pivot.

yep, I'll be there 4pm class as well

did you print out the material they sent? I would hope they'd have it there to pass out, that one is 56 pages long and has a LOT of color in it if you try to print it

A heads up on all that material.....I took that class. At the last minute (like on my way over there) I printed some of those pages out to read while I ate breakfast. When I got to the 'class', they passed out a sheet of paper for you to put your name and address on. When that got back to him, the guys says, ok, here is your test! I said, 'Wait! What happened to the 'class'?" He looked at me funny and said, "Well, didn't you get your paperwork?" So, I'm telling you, you are suppose to read and study all that BEFORE to go to the 'class'! There really is no class. Also, just letting you know, that nobody fails. If you don't know the answers to the test, you can ask him to clarify the question and they basically tell you the answers. (At least that is the way it was when I took the 'class'!) Then you and a partner have to candle 100 eggs and correctly say whether they are good, blood ring, or not good. So, you really need to either study it online, or print it out.

You all are right, it came back! I went home on my lunch break to check on the girls, and there it was in the nesting box. My Dominiquer was in the box next to it laying an egg, and the snake was waiting patiently. I think the Dominiquer interrupted the snake and ran it to the next box, because there was a broken egg. It was pretty obvious that the snake had not eaten yet though because it didn't look pregnant!

The difference this time, I had no one to depend on but myself. DH would not be home till after 7, and I was not going to leave the snake out there. I put on a big carhart coat (thinking that would be strong enough to deflect a bite) and a pair of leather gloves, grabbed my son's grabber and pulled it out and dropped it in a bucket. Then I had to decide if I was going to kill it, leave it for DH or take it off myself. I wasn't prepared to kill it (as I claimed earlier), and it seemed kind of cruel to leave it for 5 or 6 hours in a bucket, so I put the lid on tight and took it to the marsh. It was about a mile away in a very wooded area, so I don't expect to see it again.

Yes my co worked just a while ago showed me pics of a snake going into her coop... Snaking in and out of each lower laying box.. Then slithering down the low roost bar, up to the higher one and back to check the upper level of laying boxes where it finally found eggs.

Very calculated and clearly not the first time!

Trust me, I would not have been so brave if I hadn't discovered that the snake was non-venomous yesterday! I was hoping that it wouldn't be there, but that is the reason I went home for lunch, so I was half-way expecting it. I'm sure it won't be the last one I deal with, but let's just say I won't seek them out!

Ok, can someone tell me why one of our renters would go into the bathroom and wrap scotch tape around and around the little acrylic bar in the bathtub? Honestly, who does that??????? Took me 10 minutes to scrape it off and get the sticky gone! And, no, the bar wasn't broken. WTH?
