Am picking up 24 eggs from the man at the bank who wants me to hatch them for him! Yea! Getting to hatch eggs and not having to worry about selling them is great! He did offer me a chick or two. Ummm, maybe not, just brown egg layers! LOL! Maybe I should sneak some of my fun colored egg layer chicks in with his! Surprise!

This has got to be the ugliest chicken i've ever seen.




If you look close to the 2 other body parts in the picture you will notice the three amigos are still sticking together through thick and thin.

This is my lone survivor out of 19 eggs that I had in my incabater there where 9 more that where fully developed that never hatched don't know what I did wrong

Go to the learning center on BYC and scroll down to hatching 101, There is some great info on hatching. You may want to read it and see what you did or didn't do right,

if you look quickly at this pic it looks like the duck body is on the white chick and the duck head is on the frizzled, so how your hatching frizzled ducks

Not sure if I posted this picture on this thread, but thought I would again just to share. I. Hatched this little NN from an Olive egg and was very excited until I saw its feet! They were huge and I figured it had to be a boy! But, I decided to hang on to it to see how it would grow out. Now, I am thinking it is a female! She is 8 weeks old and is showing no signs of saddle or hackle feathers and no signs of the red coloring behind the ears that NNs get really early on!

Here is one that is a Swedish Flower Dad X buff Silkie! Got it's father's coloring! And, I guess the frizzle comes from Mamma Silkie?

I love the chick in that first photo! It totally looks like it's wearing an outfit designed by Alexander McQueen! So pretty!
 
I just put my MFD shipped eggs in lockdown! Started with a dozen and nine are winners so far. This batch is on day 17 but I always hear bantams hatch early so I went ahead. Will they really come early? I'll be over the moon as this is my second attempt at MFD.

Either way the air cells look just as good as any of my own eggs so that's awesome. Happy HUMP DAYYY!!? everyone..
 
Katie- and you said you couldn't build stuff?!? Awesome job! All the chicks are puffing up beautifully and look so cute.

I got a speeding ticket the other day. 1st time ticket. Dh says 'how you gonna pay it cuz I'm not?' Hehe- sold $70 worth of chicks in less than 30 minutes! Gave the buyer a price cut but he still gave me full price cuz he liked my stock

I was so ecstatic then dh says he made $200 in 10 minutes and didn't have to do anything

I did the phone discussion to sell the vehicle parts, buyer showed up early and removed parts himself, dh got home from work just in time to collect the money and tell them bye! I got a commission though. I still think mine was better
