YO GEORGIANS! :)

I've discovered that the new watering system leaks. I think it's the nipple, not around them, but the actual nipple. I wonder if the extra water pressure of 30 gallons of water instead of just a small bucket is causing it.....any ideas?

Our nipples leaked, too. We ended up having to put a catch system in to catch the dripping water. Basically, they were 4" PCP pipes cut in half and run horizontally under the nipples.

I'm guessing just gravity. My rabbit's water bottle leaks pretty much always. Just a little, whether it's full or not. I like the idea of the catch system for underneath.

I am going in the morning to buy new chicks. I want a do over. If I can successfully nurse a rooster back from the brink of death and charm him enough to sleep stretched out in my lap, I have no excuse for making the same mistake twice. And I notice the two Orpingtons seem to be wondering where their little friends are. They need new friends to keep them company.

I am over this rainy weather. I tried finishing the last 3 details on the coop today and then the sky just fell out! I am SO CLOSE! Literally just 3 small things to predator proof it completely and it's good to go. I am thinking about letting them out there during the day for a few hours just to get them accustomed for a bit. I don't work full time so I figure as long as I check on them often, they'll be alright. Once it is secure they can stay out there so they know it's home. Although I will admit, I'm sad to see Mr. Stanley Roosterface go. He's my favorite and we are buddies. At least until he tries to tear my face off when he turns on me.

I was just wishing we would get a nice rain storm then I wouldn't feel guilty not riding my horse today. Or yesterday.

Awww. Poor guy. I'm all about a good rain. Just not when I have work to do. LOL
It does help with the heat, though. Not a fan of super hot unless there's a beach and palm trees included in the deal, but I hate freezing cold even more!

Alright alright you convinced me! Lol. I actually ended up not riding my horse because his arthritis is acting up but his meds should kick in soon. But I did exercise my reining horse, Tuff. See my horse (Gunner) in his stall saying "no fair!" His jealousy Didn't last long he was out grazing within moments lol
