YO GEORGIANS! :)

I think because it's one of the ones I didn't specifically order, I'll go ahead and call the cracked one a loss rather than risk chicken goo. That sounds nasty! I can let the loose air cell one sit for a couple of days no problem. Should I go ahead and put it in the incubator and just not turn it, or leave it out for a few days and let it be late?

You can put all of them in and not turn for a few days. That basically settles all of them which is recommended for shipped eggs.

Ugh. Went to Doctor yesterday about the feeling pukey for 2 days. Acute Gastritis. I had my suspicions. I assumed it was an ulcer again but she said because I came to her early in the game, it hasn't gone that far. She asked me if I've been under any stress lately. LOLOLOL
Maybe just a little?

Your poor thing. I hope you feel better and soon! Stress is terrible on the body.

YUM!!!  Could you pass along your recipe for grilled chicken leg quarters?  I've never had the courage to cook them and I'd really like to rise to that particular challenge.

And not to get sappy, but it's really sweet how you reference your wife.  It's easy to see you two are still in love.  I know I'm a dork, but that kind of stuff makes me feel good inside.  My folks have been married for 43 years next month.
. Definitely not a dork for that!

you need some stanley roosterface time. That helps with stress.........and I'm as serious as I can be! Sometimes I just go out and sit and watch them scratch around, it's definitely relaxing

I need to get the run up. That way I can let them out for more than short bursts at a time. Right now, there's too much debris in the yard still (nails, bits of metal, plastic scraps from the nail gun) and no areal protection. I literally have to follow them around and watch what they're about to peck for. I got some of the stuff cleaned up but they obviously see better than me and I always catch them going for the things that Ioverlooked/missed. LOL I'm pretty sure nails and bits of HC trimmings aren't on their diet.

Thanks! It'll get there. She put me on Zantac because Prilosec reacts dangerously with Adderal XR (nearly killed me). I kinda wish we'd done the Zantac first time around. It seems to work almost immediately. I remember the GI Spec told me that the Prilosec takes about 3 weeks to be noticeable. Or else I'm imagining it's working.

oooh ooh! on a happy note: I found out one of my BFF's cousins got drafted to the Oakland A's. Center Field. Not that I give a crap about baseball or most sports, I just think it's pretty cool.

Speaking of hatching, my weekends hatch is already over.  14 of 16 eggs.  One never pipped and one made the tiniest of pips and went no further.  I opened up the pip hole this morning to see if it was alive and it was not.  So 87.5%.  This was the last of the eggs I got from Rocky.  Only two NNs this time.  One from the Marans X NN and one from the Silkie X NN.

And, I almost had a heart attack because last night I was letting the new renters watch the chicks get hatched.  They left around 10pm.  Later, I got up at 1am to check the progress of the hatching and noticed the other incubator was turned off!  Temp was 77 degrees!  Apparently one of the renters must have leaned on the switch of the power source and switched it off while they were all huddled around the other bator!  Those eggs are my Lav AMs!  I turned it on and candled a few this morning and they seem ok.  (Although I did lose 4 already in that group....blood rings, when I candled them a few days ago)  I am wanting those chicks to hatch really badly!
gosh that is such a run of bad luck ill keep my fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong hope things turn out better"
