I am not sure what DH means (Dear Husband?) May I see pics of what you would like to trade for them? I have seven in total, I am assuming you live close to Chatsworth?

Yes DH does mean dear husband, I live in Armuchee, but I have been know to drive to FLA to get birds so all roads are short and lead straight to birds.

Now if you decide you need some of Carcar birds I can be the go between and pick them up or there are a few on here that have birds and we can more than likely get a relay going, but as far as trading I would just like to purchase one. cause my birds are little and I only have 4 RIR hens that are laying right now and one of those hens is still trying to get it together so their a little over 22 weeks.

Hi newbies! I just hatched 14 chicks this weekend. I have 3 male Crested Cream Legbars for sale really cheap. I have two EE, two Silkie mixes, one pure Swedish Flower, and some other mixes. All $3. Some may be frizzles!

And, shoot me now! Just set 45 eggs in bator for a Fourth of July hatch! I WILL NOT PUT ANYMORE EGGS IN THE BATOR AFTER THIS!

I hear you on that!! Im so proud I truly haven't added ANY more since the LO. They're the only things left in there now!!

Hi, sorry it has taken me a day to get back to you , super busy, I think % would be better and we can wager anything, since I really don't have a lot of spare money right now, quilting, wedding (son), chickens ........run it july/august weight turn in Aug 31st, so we have a few weeks to come up with wagers, throw out some ideas


I know you have more than likely gotten rid of the egg but I had one that was cracked worse and I put tape on it and it hatched, it was farther along when it got cracked so that may have made the difference but I candled it everyday for a few days to see if it was still alive and yep sure was
How much!! Seen as I keep getting babies from you!!! BTW they are doing wonderful

I had a snake get into my old house and it scared my banty so bad she would not ever go back in I had to find her a new home and kept her and her babies in it

man I'd like to get a couple of the OE's if they weren't babies!

I had another rooster start crowing yesterday, these guys are really fun when they first start crowing.....and then the first one crowed so the second one hushed, HA fun times, and only other chicken people understand me saying that, anyone else would think I must live a really boring life.

first off, it won't look good for long, LOL

but I've seen some people say that painting the inside makes it easier to keep clean

Did you paint the inside of yours ? I really want to move the chicks in painting would put me back by a week between dry time and labor but if it really helps I will do it .

I always do it. It seals the wood, so that moisture can't warp or rot the wood as quickly. It also makes it easier to wipe down during cleaning. I used white wash, so that means it helps prevent pests too.

If anyone else is interested in trading for some game hens, please let me know. I am interested in laying hens or chicks that will become laying hens (that don't need a heat lamp, as I don't have one).
