Hi y'all...........I'm home again...
frow.gif
.Please say you missed me........I went to hospital 3/4 for a routine bronchoscopy (somewhere, mid lung checking, I started coughing ( I was under anesthesia and apparently wouldn't stop)........The telescoping tube in my lungs was pushed against a wall and made a tear. The end run was a development of hole in my right lung midlung and it was deflating, ugh.... I had a chest tube put in within minutes of the Bronch. It was many days - crazy ones, until yesterday with lots of different treatments and efforts and sleepless times. I had over 15 lung xrays along all sorts of therapy. When they say take a deep breath and in the middle of one of your lungs there is a spacer plus a tube, a deep breath can make a grown farm woman cry like a baby. They were doing an important job and I learned what Mama meant when she said "NO Pain, No gain",. Yesterday, my doc said I'm putting you on oxygen. If it doesn't work, then upcoming week surgery. Although there is still a hole in my lung, I am so happy to be home. I came home this evening. I can lift no more than 2 to 3 pounds, no leaning, stretching pulling, exersion of anysort for about 4 to 6 weeks. I will see the doc again to make sure it is shrinking or back I go for surgery. Now I'm a farmer's wife and I actually made us some no thrill bean burritos with cheese as we missed lunch. Open a can of beans, slice cheese, two tortillas, and by the time grilled it up, I'm on the couch, down and out. It will be hard to sit on my hands during this time, but I'm so like superglad to be home....And I know many of you knew about this and were praying and thinking and helping us in so many ways. I will say my being there because a religious experience and I'm not being smart talking. Everytime anything at the hospital got too overwhelming, I would cover my eyes with a wash cloth (no darkened rooms allowed in this hospital) and turn on inspiration music channel on tv and just sink in to the words of the songs or think of times in my life where blessings had flowed to me and our farm. Although I'm itching right now to visit all the animals, I know I am not allowed too much walking or contact until after Wednesday. Have you ever had something just outside of your reach .....In your visition but you cannot go there. When we pulled in the farm, I could see many of our birds and the "bunny trail" where our bunnies are. I wanted to run and see them soooo badly. But I gotta be good, cause I do not want to be a hospital "frequent visitor". Well, now that I've made up for lost time...Y'all be careful of your lungs.....and your health. And have a blessed week!!!!!!!!!!!!
