Oh happy day! I went to the P.O.to pick up replacement eggs for the smashed and scrambled ones about a week ago and there was ANOTHER box of eggs. I had completely forgotten about the Mallard eggs that I got from one of our own Yo Georgianites. Not 1 broken egg anywhere in the 4 1/2 dozen total eggs received. Woohoo!!!!

Katsdar, I can give you some hatching eggs, but remember, I only have one rooster now and about 33 hens, so fertility may not be great. Let me know if you are wanting some anyway. I won't have any from my Lav AM roo until he gets older in another 3-4 months. Then, I will be getting some fun colors! I plan on lots of LA, OEs, and EEs. Some will be frizzled, too! Oh, and Naked Necks!

I just sold an EE rooster and 4 hens, and I don't know if happy over the cash is greater than the sad of seeing them go....

on a good note though, I've gotten AM eggs two days in a row! So I'll be putting some in the bator mid week next week

Grrr!
Just went outside and the sliding door between my barnyard mixes and my RIR was open about a hens width. LOTS of hens in the wrong section, but at least when I was out the extra roos were all in their own section.
I closed the door tightly, and moved the second RIR roo back into his section.
Guess I'm lucky my Orp roos are all immature still.
Now I guess I will just see what I get when I fill my incubator on Feb 18 to hatch chicks to trade for a sheep.

It had been a couple weeks now, and I was hoping for RIR chickies.



I need the ewe so my ram has a girl of umm, his own species. Donkey is not impressed by his efforts.
