YO GEORGIANS! :)

They do carry some Purina but that is what they seem to be out of most of the time. They are never out of their own brand though.
Ask your store if they will do rain checks. I have to do that with mine sometimes. I pay for several bags at a time, they order them and I pick them up when they come in. They are always running out of my goat feed so I stock up when I can!

Calhoun people....
I'm in calhoun but guess I don't need it...but I would really like to have some goats. I have a pond on my place that really needs some clean up around it and I have thought about goats for a while. But my place is not fenced and I'm too old and not able to start building fence. :( I've thought about a portable electric fence but have heard from others that it would not hold goats...what do those of you who keep goats think...? Anyone use a portable electric fence...?

Ugh! So mad. I put a small mini refrigerator we had not been using in my pantry just for my eggs because they take up so much space in our regular refrigerator. Turned it on for the day and it was good. So, in went my 5 dozen eggs that I was going to sell on Monday. Went to get someone an egg for breakfast this morning and found them all cracked open, frozen solid! Temp was set on Maximum! So, guess who will be enjoying 5 dozen cooked eggs later today!? Yep, lucky chickens!

Has any one on here ordered from Mt Healthy in Ohio? Turner's feed in Douglasville is getting some Aracucanas from there. I was wanting to buy just a few. I know there are many possible issues with Aracuanas and I just want to know if their chicks will be as close to the original breed as possible. Or if they have have bread out many of the negative traits that Aracuanas can have to have a more productive egg layer or breeder. Just want to know what to expect before I commit to getting some. I also have Turner's chick schedule if anyone is interested. Or if someone wants me to pick some up for them. I live only 5 minutes away from them.

What they sell are really mixed breed Easter Eggers. Ladds in Cartersville had them this past fall from Mt. Healthy. I took a pic to show they are all different colors proving they are EE.

yeah if you really want to be sure you're getting a pure breed, you really have to find a breeder. I'm just hoping the welsummers I have ordered turn out to actually be welsummers. One thing about them though they're pretty easy to tell by the coloring even on the chicks

I want a buff opington and a black .... Not picky as long as she's excellent egg layer and docile.. I've read about a few breeds and I'm open to any... However . And I want them at the same time... And it seems to be impossible!

Ok thanks! I'm ok with EE's. I read that Aracuanas get along well with silkies so I was going to put a few with them. As long as they are healthy, lay colored eggs and can get a long with silkies I am ok with them being EE's.
