YO GEORGIANS! :)

Anyone hatching this weekend? I'm on day 20 with 9 Brahma, 2 MFD, and a dozen Brown Leghorn eggs.. So excited!! Also, just one more hatch of small d'Uccle clutches and then I get into where they really got into the swing of it. :)

My eggs are due to hatch on Sunday! One more day of turning and then we go into Lock down!

So here's the scene for my birds until we repair/reinforce pens. The Brahmas (EIGHT of them) are in the grow-out pen since it has two solid walls. Hubby barricaded them on the other two sides. Ain't it pretty? :gig

To the right is the wood coop where the bantams are staying (eleven of them).. It's not quite as tight a swueeze for them as the Brahmas since they can fly to different levels, but still not ideal. I hope to be able to get them back to their pen tonight (that's the one that was broken into) and the Brahmas by Friday or Saturday.

Hubby moved the Brahmas all by himself while I worked yesterday evening. Not a big deal for us chicken lovers, but I know he's not quite as enamored as I am so I was very thankful for him doing that without me asking. <3

I'm so impressed with his barricading abilities.. He didn't miss a thing! LOL

Mine are actually due on the 15th. Waited on silkie eggs, but I don't think I'm getting anything out of those. The others I'm hoping are RIR, but could be mixed. It was 2 weeks after we separated them out, so could go either way.
Oh, and one hen flew out of the pen and the Olive Egger got her twice before I could catch her.

Guess we will see.

I'm bummed at the moment.
Went out this morning to check on/feed the 26 babies who are 1 week and 2 weeks old.
They are in their brooder box,in my feed room of the coop, with a heat lamp on top of the wire lid.
Lamp was still warm, the stuff over the other end was still there, but those babies were COLD!
Lost one of daughter's Lavender Ameraucanas, and 3 of my 5 Welsummers look a bit wobbly.
I gave them some Poultry Nutridrench, added a second heat lamp, and moved the brooder box inside. Changed the shavings and fresh food and water.
Hoping the others didn't get too chilled for too long.
Most are eating and drinking up a storm now.

Ok.. my babies eat all day and night barely sleeping. So when is enough food enough. Im going thru a pint size bag of food every 2 days. Does that seem a bit for chicks who are barely 2 weeks..
