YO GEORGIANS! :)

Well looky there ... Robo broke the forum again. He posted and then nothing for like 27 days.
I thought that was me the other day when I posted my projects I'd been working on and the next day my good buddy Carline commented. I thought I'd killed the thread or somethin............

Wouldn't you know it! The one egg that hatched from the BCM eggs off the judging table from the Newnan show is looking like a boy for sure! Would anyone be interested in buying it? Could father lots of hens with dark dark egg genes!

Papa, everything looks good! You are certainly upgrading your chicken life! And, congrats on your hatch this time!
got home from going to pick up the grand daughter to spend the night with us, and now have 5 pipped! not much action on a few of them for a few hours, but the DW said she heard chirping from there while I was out on the tractor tilling the garden.

not sure what I'm going to do to get the humidity up in this incubator, I've plugged all the vent holes, added another sponge and still can't get it over 42%....I may have to check into a retile tank mister like he used, anyone have any experience with one of those?

@PapaChaz tell me about the round thermometers I see in you photos.
petco pet store, from the reptile section matched set thermometer and hygrometer. I did the salt test on that hygrometer, and when it was supposed to read 75% it read 85, so I know it's 10% higher than actual. The thermometer I've had in with others and they were all the same so I'm confident in those.

I'm going to order one, maybe more, digital hygrometer/therometer units to monitor multiple levels at once. This thing has to have more air circulation, so before I start another set of eggs, I'll definitely be adding another fan, at least one light and maybe a reptile tank mister

well, I thought since the leghorn eggs weren't pipping, I'd move them to the cabinet. took them out and moved them over there, and turning the carton around, realized one had pipped on the back side, BELOW the air cell.........talk about sneaky. Probably one of them roosters that will always try to sneak up behind me......
