YO GEORGIANS! :)

So.... NObody has an opinion on whether I should leave my egg upside down?? Hmmm.

I had an egg that I couldn't tell which end was the small end. So I made a little cradle and attached it to the tray so I could lay it on its side. It hatched. I just used the bottom of a extra large foam egg carton with the bottom of the cup cut out. Used a few of the other empty cups to wire it to the tray. If you have room to do that. It took up several places for that 1 egg but I paid alot for the eggs and had room. HA!

Oh.. Took the dogs out just now and Mama Mallard came flailing out from under the steps..

Wonder if she'll get used to us coming in and out.. Or if we'll just need to use the back door for a while.

I wonder if you put a piece of plywood on the underside of the steps would she allow traffic, since she couldn't see anybody. Could keep her out of the rain too! Or could you put something over the nest? Like the top of a dog igloo? See, I got all kinds of tricks. HAHA! Then again I have never raised a duck in my life. Thousands of chickens, no ducks.

Hmmm plywood isn't a terrible idea.. May see what hubby thinks. He's pretty big on things not looking TOO "Sanford & Son", as he calls it..

Too late.
