2, 5, 8, 11 was all we had. 17 if you wanted to watch swiggly TV. When the President was on, TV viewing was ruined. Good thing we still played outsude back then.

Growing up I only had one channel it came on at 4 and off at 10pm,unless you wanted to watch the Arab station, or watch the blizzard and try to get the Doah station and you thought you were deprived.

Well, we only had 3 channels in black and white. And then they invented this great thing to give you color tv. It was a see-thru plastic clingy rectangle that you put over your tv screen that had a blue strip across the top (for sky), a beige strip across the middle (for people's faces), and a green strip at the bottom (for grass!) We thought it was the greatest thing ever! HA!
