Mine is still on good behavior since I dunked his head in the water bucket. Over a month now.
I even picked up one of his hens today who was panting heavily and she squawked, but he looked at me, then looked away.

haha! a water bucket! I bet he hated it! Lololol

I have taken to snapping my fingers at Stanley. I don't think anyone likes when someone snaps their finger at ya. It's rude, insulting, and very annoying. It always used to piss me off when people would do that to us at work (Retail is so fun). I figured he'd probably not like it and I was right.

He does exactly what I used to do in response...he gives me the stink eye for a minute, then walks away.

Grr. I hate that the silkies weren't fertile. I have 2 that hatched last week and expecting 3 more this weekend (and one week before that)
The NN I had seen topped by the silkie roo, I haven't tried her eggs yet myself cause she isn't laying.
My first SBEL are due this weekend too, they were fertile.

How about the Ams? Mine were marked LA and BA with a number.

Oooh! who's Marans egg is it? I never marked mine other than the dates they were laid. I'm curios to know which Marans? LOL I am dying to find out what Stanley's babies may turn out like. I hope somebody who brought home any of the eggs I left will post some photos! The curiosity is gonna kill me!

2 brown eggs no markings
5 BYM marked BYM--white egg and brown eggs
4 blue no markings, 3 small 1 large
2 LA
1 R

so if you can tell which one is your egg let me know

I had a handful labeled BYM, then LA and R is RIR.
Not sure who else labeled their BYM.

My BYMs were not marked. If you got a Marans egg and it hatches, the dad is either the Brahma or the LA Roo. If it was the LA, your chick would lay some pretty nice Olive eggs. My unmarked eggs were all different colors and could have NNs in them. Could be some frizzles!

I guess I'm just mean. I do NOT tolerate mean roosters, but I guess plenty of people do. I just think it's dangerous and they can never be fully trusted.

My first hatch...hopefully! I divided these between 2 broodies tonight. I don't know what I'll do if they change their minds. I don't have an incubator! Now, I have about 10 days to learn to candle...
