YO GEORGIANS! :)

Anyone want an UGLY but functional coop? Just needs some new wire and a roof..

4x8' with three laying boxes, an L-shaped roost and a pop door

$50

I want to come look at this, y'all home this evening? Would be an excellent start to a grow out pen

We should be here. Either way it's out in the pasture. My girls are escaping their coop because they are DETERMINED TO LAY IN *THEIR* COOP and one is major overheated now because she sat there baking in the sun like an idiot before I realized.

I've used it for growing out several times over the years, both with a broody and with a heat lamp hung from the bar. It's a great little coop. Hubby hates it

LOL

I'll let you know for sure in a bit, we're being lazy, but have some errands to run. is this something we an load by hand on a trailer?

I hope it will hatch
nope, she buried the rest of the eggs in the hay, and has hollowed out a nest for her and the two chicks in a different spot. I took them away from her last night, much to her dislike, put them inside and the chicks in the brooder inside. She's back in the AM pen with the rest of them.

on another note, I know we have a couple in our little group who do the local farmers markets and I'd like to know what you pay to participate, I've checked into the one in Rockmart, and personally think they're ridiculous at what they're asking for a weekly fee to set up a table in a very lightly used parking lot that's owned by the city, tied in with all their 'rules'......maybe now I can see why they don't have real good participation

I have a friend who does Dallas.. I believe she says their price is reasonable. She also makes a darn KILLING at Marietta from what I hear.

I can see why there's not a lot of participation in this one. A) Thursday, as you mentioned, B) application fee on top of weekly fee C) amount of weekly fee, no monthly or annual fees available D) they want to be able to just 'drop in' at my 'farm' and inspect everything any time they want, as many times as they want, E) they require you to take SNAP and Food stamps. They'll reimburse you for those 'tokens' but you have to wait to get the check in the mail.....

I mean good grief, I'd have to sell 4 dozen eggs to cover the weekly cost of the spot, not counting driving over there and back. I'm not getting enough eggs to make it worth while at all
