Ok. So I watched this video about feather sexing chicks at a day (or 2) old.

. Then I wrote to McMurray's Hatchery and asked them what breeds they used feather sexing on. This is the response I got from them.

I feather sex Black Copper Marans and Ameracauna's also if they are less than a day old. Usually 90+% accurate. Can't do silkies or Polish though...too little at hatch.

He's a XXL. I don't know much about show quality, but he's a good looking rooster. Missing a few feathers from sparring with the other roos. I'll get a photo today and put it up tonight.

i've got one baby that was malpositioned and needed help hatching....she is the smallest and i dont know whether \assisting her hatch helped or is hurting her =o(

Make sure that she has a hole to breathe through and is her veins all gone? If not wait till morning to assist.
