That is next on my list a milk goat!!! I'm not sure if you will get Wilbur, he is so cute and I'm getting him fixed on Sat. lots happening sat, choppen stuff off, plugging logs with mushrooms, here he is going to sleep in his tomato box. he's a little pig, :gig all nice and clean after his bath
! So cute! Can't wait to see how 'mini' he grows up to be!

So what are we all going to do Saturday if its raining? Suppose to be 60% chance. Would we all go Sunday instead? Guess just wait til it gets closer to the weekend.

I know it's terrible, lol, he is good, take him outside and he does his business, course I've been taking him out about every 2 hours but still that's good and gave him some honeynut oats cereal he tried it prefers his pig food that is good. Looked up and said the oats and shredded wheat are good treats, as is some fruits and veggies as treats. oh and he loves to be scratched, will stretch out so you can get his side and belly
Too sweet!

We can't do Sunday. It is Saturday or nothing for us.

My buddy has some game hens that live outside year round. He throws them some scratch every couple days and that's it. They pretty much live entirely off the land. He keeps an eye on them as he's working out and about and doesn't have much trouble finding their eggs. :)

It is mighty convenient that they are so self-sufficient. Mine will go scratching in the woods around the pond up to about 100 yards away from the house. Then when I start to miss 'em they'll show up again around the porch looking for handouts.

Not quite. Chicken math is the term used to describe the way "I only want 2-3 birds" always seems to lead to dozens.

That's how it starts, then you lose one or two birds and begin to think...... "If I only had a few more..."

So I just saw this ...

New Swap Meet Hours!!!

Friday, February 17 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Saturday, February 18 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.

I guess that means that Sunday is not an option if you are going for anything in the swap meet area.

We went to the swap this morning. Lots of silkies, several areas had English Orps.. some chocolate, black, mottled, and a gold laced pair I saw. Lots of bantams, the big pens of guineas and ISA reds, some rabbits, several AM that were dropping pretty blue eggs in their pens.. a few bantam Cochin, some various chicks. Orchard Hill Farm was there with some eggs and some chicks... it wasn't too bad!
