Someone tell me this---as this little guy or gal struts & stumbles all around the incubator is it ok that he's kicking & rolling eggs? Even the others that have pipped? I'm a little concerned & have no knowledge of what to do!

I would let it be the loss of humidity at this moment is worse than him moving eggs around

Let him/her rock n roll, lol, it's chirping will encourage the others to come out to play, I don't remove babies unless there is just not enough room and leave babies in there until they are dried out, If anyone knows more of about what I'm about to say please chime in, but I can't remember where I read it but the dust that comes off new babies isn't supposed to be good to breathe.

Oh my goodness! This one is a live wire! Raising hell and chirping and then flopping down on the other eggs. There are now 5 more pips, and this little nut is determined to wake the neighborhood. Interestingly, it's all @juststruttin eggs that are pipping on day 19-20. The rest of them are laying around like rocks lol.

Any extra advice y'all have is greatly appreciated!! I guess my concern overall is that the Brinsea Maxi is only so big and with this wild chick + 14 other eggs, the chances that it gets rowdy in there are great!

I'll agree there are e some that are great owners of dogs and handle them correctly but many many don't have a clue as to what it takes to have a dog

Yeah, I rescued a very pregnant dachshund and her chiwinnie boy and girl,  fully vetted all and I have the mom, my son has the daughter and the son went to another home, the people who had the dogs couldn't feed themselves or their kids much less keep the electric on and a case worker contacted me and asked if I'd take and place the dogs but dogs are healthy and happy now,

Awe so your gonna have puppies soon?

After inspecting all of the chicks in the brooder, the snake did a little more damage than we first noticed. One buff orpington had his tail removed - just a bloody stump there now. We've treated it, and he is in isolation. He seems to be perky, so I hope he recovers. Another buff had a facial bite from the snake, but he's doing fine.

Oh well, onward and upward.

I'm throwing some extra measures up on my girl's coop, although I was wondering, the run my girls are in is covered on the bottom with hardware cloth, 3 feet up, should I cover the remaining 3 feet above that with my left over chicken wire as extra protection from snakes and such?
