YO GEORGIANS! :)

you'll pass, because they don't let anyone NOT pass. Pay attention during the 'lecture' and answer as many of the questions on the test during the lecture as you can. When I went, it was open book, and you could even help or get help the person next to you. Then you get a 'partner' and you go candle a few dozen eggs. One of you will candle half of them, and you both write down what the 'candler' thinks it is, then you switch. You can discuss it, but ultimately the person who's doing the 'candling' for that egg has final say. I'd say good luck, but you really don't need it, LOL

ok, so here's why I crossed my ameraucana rooster and the welsummer hens. Dark green eggs with brown spots

Yeah, the test was easy. The answers were posted on a screen. Lisa and I worked together to candle 100 eggs. My son worked with an elderly woman because he thought she could use the help.

I like how your green eggs retained the speckles from the Welsummer hen. Very nice!

Just looked at the calendar...it's only built out through May. I'm hoping they'll do one close to Macon sooner or later.

The young guy who teaches the egg-candling classes is super nice and very helpful. If you email him, I'm sure he'll tell you when the next class will be held in the Macon area. Here's his info:

Lady had more LO chicks plus more hatching in 8 days. $5 straight run. Interested? She's way back in the middle of nowhere in Ball Ground.
