YO GEORGIANS! :)

This is me whining, but since I can't talk just about chickens, I'm distressed to say that my husband went to check on our lake property tonight and we were robbed---house broken into, guns stolen, electronics all over the yard and everything had been ransacked. Our ATV was stolen (goodness knows how) and I'm just feeling really defeated. I see I have messages waiting on me, but I think I need some advil and a drink before I get to it all. :hit

Liv, very sorry to hear that. Our home was once broken into, burglarized, and ransacked on a Sunday morning while we were at church. We came home to a terrible mess and loss of personal property. It's an awful feeling of violation more than anything else. We were living in Louisiana at the time in a nice neighborhood, and it made us just want to move away from there, and we loved our home. Again, I'm very sorry for what you and your family are going through.

I'm sorry to hear that. :( I can't imagine how you're feeling. I hope insurance helps and they catch who did it.

Welcome aboard! What kind(s) of chickens/ducks/turkeys/quail/ducks/other fowl do you have?

:welcome
So far, that I am sure of, I have Cochens(sp) A Silkie rooster named Punk Rock, Barred Rocks, Isa Browns, Black Copper Marans, Americauna(sp) Asians, 2 Pekin ducks, plus 5 more ducks and lots more tiny chickens to figure out what they are.

Nice assortment. I hear those ISA Browns are egg-laying machines. They don't live long compared to other chickens, but while they are alive, they produce quite a few eggs.

If you post some photos of your unidentified chicks/ducklings, some of the members here may be able to help you identify them. Georgia BYC group has a lot of knowledgeable peeps.
