I'd love that hutch but you are quite the distance from me. I'm sure you'll find takers.Anyone know anyone who needs a table etc?
My chickens eat bees, wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets. If they've ever gotten stung, I've never known about it. If one of my birds did get a sting, I probably wouldn't do anything other than maybe give her a treat like some grapes or popcorn. My Lulu got stung by a yellow jacket a bit ago, is there anything I should do or watch for??
Does that mean I should be looking for eggs my KC soon?? I hope so!At least one of my ducks is using the nest box. View attachment 1078556
Anyone ever have a bird actually recover from sour crop? My silkie has it. I dealt with it one other time and ended up having to put the chicken down due to her just getting sicker no matter what I tried. I know the treatment, just wondering what are the chances of it working?
That does not sound like something I want to do. Lol. I just brought her in so we'll see how she does over the next 24 hours. Maybe desperate times will call for desperate measures. Doesn't seem impacted, just squishy. There are you tube videos on how to cut the crop open, pull out all the wads of stuff in there and then super glue it back together.
Am I the KB?My chickens eat bees, wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets. If they've ever gotten stung, I've never known about it. If one of my birds did get a sting, I probably wouldn't do anything other than maybe give her a treat like some grapes or popcorn.
When it comes to chickens, there are plenty of people who will offer some nonsense advice that could be harmful to your girl, so please be careful. Hope she feels better soon.
BTW, I know I don't know KB that well, but the look on her face was PRICELESS when I told her that you needed to get your birds out of the van!I hope she'll forgive me for that one, but I couldn't help myself, and I think you were thinking of doing the same thing!
