I know a lady with beautiful chicks in ellijay! It was the Ellijay TSC. I went to Blue Ridge and they didn't have any, they had some pretty bantams though. They still had 4 or 5 of the ones, like I got, in Ellijay. They will probably still have them tomorrow. They are straight run, but only $1.99 each.
Wow. Do you have enough hatching eggs to fill it?All you super hatchers are going to love this. I picked up this 5 tray GQF brooder at an estate sale for $100. Ordered $300 worth of parts and a watering system. That puts me ahead by over $700. Remember, thou shalt not covet thy neighbors brooder. View attachment 1299040
I will come April. Getting a load of Cornish to split with @GAMarans , then some Novogen brown layers. Then I'll be hatching quail and duck. Gonna be a busy spring.Wow. Do you have enough hatching eggs to fill it?

My ducks mate anywhere....they like the lake, but they do it anywhere! The main reason ducks need water is so they can clean out their nostrils. As ducks shove under the dirt looking for bugs and stuff, the dirt goes up their noses. They then run to the water and take in a mouth full and then snort all the dirt from their noses! That's why their water is always so yucky! Of course, they love to swim and play in water and they preen and eat and love it, but they don't need it to mate.Sounds like it.
That reminds me of a question. Do ducks need a big pool to mate? I put almost 20 duck eggs in my incubator and only 2 developed. They have a kiddie pool. They're still under a year old, so I'm also wondering if my Drake is just too immature still.
