our 5 year old red star an our neighbor's hen is brooding together, lol what a mess
 
I took my roo away today! He jumped my small dog last night.....again. If we knew how to fix him for freezer camp, we would have. But we don't so he went to the local feed store where someone will take him; I don't think I will miss that one! Anyway, I think my girls are sad....only 2 eggs today!
I use to get so many eggs! Now, with 6 hens dead to predators this month, and one just gone broody, I am egg poor. My EEs and my NNs are now 25 and 28 weeks old and still not laying! Ugh! I wish they would start laying! I give our renters a dozen eggs when they arrive and I just put a dozen in the bator. I sell 18 to a friend every 10 days and so I don't have one egg for me! My friend in Dahlonega is going to give me some Marans and EE hatching eggs on Monday to put under my broody. Right now she is sitting on plastic eggs until I can get her some real ones! Anyone out there have some Welsummer eggs! I need a few Welsummer and RIR eggs! Oh and some SS and BLRW! hahahah.....my poor little hen would never be able to sit on all the eggs I would like to get!

BTW, I have asked this before.....does anyone close to me know how to vent sex chicks? I want to learn! If you can teach me to do this, please PM me! Thanks!
 
I'm thinking about getting some LF Cochins, don't care but I do prefer not to have whites. Because things that are white at my house tend to get dirty. So anybody near me have any?
 
Hi, BYC! My young flock & I are in Cadwell (that's the blinking light between Dublin & Eastman). I need to make some chicken friends because I am afraid I will be re-homing some roos soon
