Also GA. Have been into chickens/ducks for about a year now. Pandemic + Crazy chicken friend (I call her the gateway drug) = my farm is fowl. lol. Do we have a list of Bird breeders in GA? I'm outside of Athens, but don't mind a drive for the right bird(s).

I don't...try facebook and other local social media groups. And try to get a "review" for local people, especially if your current chickens aren't vaccinated for mareks. It's rare, but sometimes people knowingly keep selling chickens that have it.

Anyone near Atlanta interested in a Murray McMurray hatchery "ameraucana"? Per their website, not up to breed standard (so an easter egger to most people), but they say more than 99% carry the blue egg gene. 8.5 weeks old. Asking $20 to recoup our cost so far. He'd make fantastic blue or olive-egger babies, depending on your hens!

Hi there! I’m near Albany but I don’t have any laying hens for sell at the moment. You should try FB if you’d like. I just know a lot of the Georgia FB groups tend to be 2-3 hrs away from the Albany area so that’s why I just order chicks from Cackle Hatchery or buy some from TSC. This year I haven’t bought any shockingly. I did hatch some barnyard mixes and it looks like a good majority were males but more for my dog I guess.
