I am looking to rehome (for free) 1-2 cockerels (New Hampshire Red and White Plymouth Rock). I am in north FL but am willing to travel to bring them to a good home in FL or GA. Any ideas/leads appreciated.

You can see if there is a local chicken group on Facebook. You may find someone who is looking for chickens. If you post an ad you have to be careful with your wording because selling or rehoming animals isn’t allowed.

You can also try Craigslist. With either website I’d ask a lot of questions to make sure she will go to a good home.

For anyone in the Lawrenceville area, I saw on the Adopt a Bird website today that there’s a rooster in the Gwinnett County Animal shelter. I’m a bit too far away to adopt him myself but he’s super fluffly and I hope he can find a good home. I think he’s a bantam Cochin.
