YO GEORGIANS! :)

I can add a young rooster to my flock if any one wants to re-home theirs, Im in Lawrenceville, GA 30046 area

Our one of a kind Java rooster died fighting a fox and another hen killed by the fox as well recently since we free ranged them, but no more. If anyone has a similar breed they want to re-home around Gwinnett County then please let me know. Im in 30046 area and can come pick him up from nearby...
Are you still interested? I just posted about my Ayam Cemani. They are about 10 weeks old and I think that I have 3 roosters.

I got my Ayam Cemani from a fellow on the east side of Lawreneville. I just wanted some eggs that my broody hen could raise. I like the chicks; they are very healthy. But I cant take good care of three roosters.
My plan was to have 5-10 Araucana hens, 1-2 Araucana roosters, and 3 or 4 Black Copper Marans hens.
Since I'm still learning chicken math, I ended up with 5 unplanned feathery children.

I am still looking to re-home my silkie rooster if anyone can take him my preference would be for him not to be eaten but his pretty aggressive so it would be ok if he was taken for meat

He would do well in a flock of all hens he is a good protector although he may go after the small ones. This rooster would probably do best free range or something similar to that. He has started crowing and does it pretty randomly when he wants attention, he loves to be at your side and doesn’t mind being picked up and held. Pm me for more info and here are some pics of him

I am looking for a mature rooster or 2, older than a year. I keep a mixed flock of large hens and free range them over a couple of acres so I need a mature guy (or 2) who will look for danger and not just chase the hens around all day.

I’m in Effingham County.

I have one that you're welcome to but he's less than a year old. He free ranges all day. He was raised by a broody hen so he's super skittish of people but not aggressive towards people. He only has a few hens right now and none of them are "over loved" they all have their back feathers.

What kind is he? Does he spend his time looking for danger or is he still pretty hormonal? We lost a chick to something today and I’m sure it’s because the hens are too busy foraging to look for predators ☹️

He's hyper aware when I even walk out the back door and I hear him alarming the hens when we have a hawk. In my personal opinion he seems a bit paranoid because it's not uncommon for him to do the same with buzzards, lol but if you're having issues with predators he's pretty nutty about keeping an eye out for anything, including me.
He's a mutt, mother was a Polish/silkie cross and father was a White Leghorn/Japanese Bantam cross.
I can get pictures for you tomorrow. He's not very showy, he's just white with some tan but he does have a mini afro from the polish background. He's missing half of his tail feathers right now from when I tried to catch him last. He's fast. 😆

That sounds a lot smaller than I’d like. I’m looking for a barred rock size or larger.
