YO GEORGIANS! :)

Alright Georgia folks, I am getting enough White Silkie eggs, more than I can handle really. I am going to give you guys a chance to buy some at $30 plus shipping for 12+ while the going is good. I have great stock, PM me know if anybody is interested. Thanks!

Here's a question for you Georgians who were RAISED on farms....

Corn plants: Do you think the leaves of a younger corn stalk might be something that chickens and/or geese would like to peck at and eat? Or are they too tough for them?

I'll probably grow it anyway, and just let them have the cobs themselves. And I might go for carrots for something ground-level (they can eat the green part that grows above-ground).

I tried to pm you but it's not showing up. Where are you located?

We've got at least 2 inches already, and it's still coming down. What do y'all have??

We've got the same here. It started this morning for us at 7am with freezing rain and sleet. Now it's been snowing for hours and hasn't stopped yet. I've seen one car go by and the mail carrier. We had school here today when almost everyone else at least five counties around had closed. They finally closed ours early after the roads got slippery. One time they closed school because it might rain too much and that day was warm and sunny. Makes no sense.

Black ice is scary. If there is snow there's something to drive on! I was in an accident on black ice. Totalled the van I was in.
Same here but it happened in the U P on Thanksgiving years ago when the road were clear. Or appeared clear and we flipped our car because we slid off the road from black ice. The road looked totally fine.
