Terribly sorry about the loss of your baby. I am sure you let MPC know. It seems there was something neurologically wrong and nothing you could have done but take comfort that you made her life as comfortable as you could have in her time here. I always take it so hard when I have a problem with any of my chickens (or any animal) large or small. God bless.

My 7 babies are happy and healthy. I have to say my fav is my little Astralorp just because every single time I go in the brooder she runs to greet me and never strays from my side. The others seem content to wander back and forth between me and feed etc. I can't believe I have to wait until September for my next order to ship. I ordered a replacement Bared rock girl for the one that did not survive the shipment, 2 Welsummer girls and 1 Roo (for my sweetie because he is just that...so sweet and patient and watches over all my feathered babies that I sort of launched on him lol). Now here is the what!!!! moment. Normally there is an excess of roos, not now. Evidently the "mystery chick" orders are being filled with them so here I am actually wanting one and can't get it along with the rest of my girls until September. Oh well I made the desktop screen-saver a pic of this roo for him and he is trying to decide on a name that would befit "his" bird lol.
